Oldcastle, Inc. Marks Its 30th Anniversary

The year was 1978 and Jimmy Carter was President of the United States. The first “micro chip” was patented by Texas Instruments, the Camp David Accords were signed by Egypt and Israel, the average yearly income was just under $17,000, and the average cost of a new house was just over $50,000.
In that same year Oldcastle, Inc. was incorporated. Over the next three decades Oldcastle would become the largest building materials company in North America with locations in 50 states, four Canadian provinces, two Mexican states, and also with activities in Argentina and Chile. New Masonry Superstore opens in Greensboro/McLeansville, NC

In order to improve customer service and increase availablity of our product line, Adams Products Oldcastle has opened a Masonry Superstore in Greensboro/McLeansville, NC. The new retail store is stategically located on the east side of Greensboro to provide a showroom and service for the Burlington and Triad Area: Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem.
Adams Products Oldcastle Manufacturing Facility at Morrisville will provide the masonry and hardscape materials for stock at this store. Our goal is to provide the best selection, quality and service for all our customers.

Adams Products Oldcastle is nearing completion of the new production facility in Dunn, NC. The Sales and Administration office have been completed. The production facility is is expected to be in operation by the first of the year. This will greatly increase our ability to manufacture, distribute and supply masonry and hardscape products throughout the Southeast. With the addition of this facility we will have 8 production facilities, 12 Masonry Superstores and 1 Sales Office to service our customers.
